The commander of the artillery battery of the 117th Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Captain Vladimir Kudrevatykh, and the chief of staff of the battalion of the 76th Communications and Radio Support Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were killed as a result of strikes by the Russian military (RF Armed Forces) at the Ukrainian military deployment point in the Sumy region. This was reported on October 19 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

"The commander of an artillery battery was killed <...> Captain Vladimir Kudrevatykh. Also <... Major Alexander Zaika has been eliminated," the TASS news agency quoted the structures.

It is noted that two sergeants of the eighth separate battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Manis and Pavel Gatsuk, were also killed in the Chernihiv region.
