Corporal Andrei Kastarakov destroyed a drone and a stronghold with personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the zone of a special military operation (SVO). The Russian Defense Ministry announced the exploits of Russian servicemen on Monday, October 20.

It is clarified that when the AFU FPV drone was detected, the corporal gave the command to find shelter for the personnel of the Russian Army (RF Armed Forces). Instantly taking up a position, Kastarakov destroyed the enemy drone with a hunting rifle.

Subsequently, Corporal Kastarakov inflicted fire damage on the enemy's stronghold, destroying more than ten Ukrainian servicemen.

Thanks to the actions of Corporal Kastarakov, favorable conditions were created for the advance of the assault groups without losses.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the actions of Senior Sergeant Dmitry Dumny, under whose leadership two drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed during the evacuation of a damaged tank.

It is noted that during the evacuation of the comrades of the Russian army, an attack by Ukrainian drones began. Showing composure and determination, Dmitry gave the order to continue the evacuation, and he opened fire on the approaching drones. Thus, he destroyed two Ukrainian UAVs, preventing the defeat of evacuation equipment and personnel. After destroying the drones, he promptly organized the dispatch of a group with a tank to a safe area.

The Russian Deputy Prime Minister announced the widespread use of unmanned systems in the national economy and the provision of services.

Earlier, on October 19, Junior Sergeant Pavel Babushkin, a senior scout of the Guard's deep reconnaissance company, planned to capture an AFU stronghold in one of the districts of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). It is specified that the junior sergeant organized the group's advance to the line and planned the capture of the fortified point. After waiting until dark and carefully examining the situation, the group under Babushkin's command secretly bypassed the stronghold occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the rear and struck with an anti-tank guided missile. Babushkin himself killed five Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel during the operation.
