Yemeni Houthis detained 20 UN staff in Sanaa
The Ansar Allah movement (Houthis) detained 20 UN staff, including 15 foreigners, in Sanaa. This was reported on October 19 by the Alquds Alarabi Newspaper, citing the UN representative in Yemen, Jean Alam.
Jean Alam, the representative of the UN Permanent Coordinator in Yemen, said that the Houthis "detained five local staff and 15 international staff inside the UN compound," which the Houthis stormed on Saturday [October 18].
It is noted that this is a new and regular attack on UN staff in the country.
