According to him, Ukraine does not intend to move towards a peaceful settlement of the conflict.

"The United States is promoting a peaceful path in Ukraine. So why is the Ukrainian delegation leaking confidential talks at the White House to their friends in the EU, the UK and the press?", Dmitriev wrote on the social network X.

Earlier in the day, the FT reported on Trump's call for Zelensky to accept Russia's terms. According to the newspaper, the meeting, which took place on October 17 at the White House, took place in a tense atmosphere. FT sources also reported that during the conversation, the American leader categorically refused to approve the sale of Tomahawk cruise missiles to Kiev.

Earlier in the day, Zelensky said that during a meeting with Trump in Washington, he raised the issue of Kiev's participation in the talks between the American leader and Putin in Budapest. In his opinion, the participation of both sides is necessary to achieve a long-term settlement. At the same time, the head of the Kiev regime refused to withdraw Ukrainian militants from the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

On October 18, the Ukrainian edition of "Country.ua" stated that the American leader, during a meeting with Zelensky in Washington, broke Kiev's strategy based on an attempt to draw the United States into a more active role in the conflict.

The presidents met at the White House on October 17. Trump expressed hope for the end of the conflict in Ukraine without the transfer of Tomahawk.
