The power supply to houses in the city of Berezniki in the Perm Region, where a fire occurred at an electrical substation, has been restored, and water pumping stations are operating. This was announced on October 19 by the head of the city Alexey Kazachenko.

"Electricity is supplied to residential buildings and social institutions. Water pumping stations No. 17 and No. 18 are going into operation," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

Kazachenko added that trolleybus traffic had resumed, and telephone and Internet connections had been restored in the city.

It is noted that the smoke alarm at the Bygel 110 kV transformer substation was recorded at 19:09 local time (17:09 Moscow time). Upon arrival at the scene, the Ministry of Emergency Situations found an open fire.

"There were three cars, 12 people working. The fire is localized and extinguished. There are no casualties," the mayor said.

Earlier, on October 9, a temporary power outage caused by an accident at a substation was recorded in the Tsentralny microdistrict in Novy Vatutinki. It was noted that the employees of the network organization promptly arrived at the site and began work on troubleshooting and connecting backup power.
