Yuri Stoyanov spoke about Mikhalkov's special method of working with actors.
Russian director Nikita Mikhalkov has not only his own film language, but also a special method of working with artists. Yuri Stoyanov told Izvestia about this on October 19.
"He (Mikhalkov. — Ed.) is so charming and precise in his explanations and in his presentation that sometimes in the frame you can catch his intonation in other people and characters and in general he is kind of present! It's like in a horror movie — one! —and he moves into another person," Stoyanov shared.
The actor added that Mikhalkov is not afraid to combine theater and cinema, and artists organically exist in a grotesque form.
"He's always three—pronged — for me, he's a director, he's an actor and, as a rule, a co-writer of the script, and everyone forgets that, of course, he's a teacher," the actor added.
Stoyanov noted that it is difficult to combine directing and playing a role in a film, because one of these tasks can be given too little attention — these things contradict each other. The actor noted that some people are still given the ability to combine the production of a motion picture and acting in it.
Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about his friendship with director Nikita Mikhalkov in the film Nikita Mikhalkov. According to him, there is, as it is now fashionable to say, "chemistry" in their relationship.
