Trump called the US trade terms with China unfair
On October 19, American leader Donald Trump, in an interview with Fox News, called the terms of U.S. trade with China unfair.
"They are always looking for benefits. You know, they have been stealing from our country for many years," he said, answering the question of why the United States imposed a 157 percent duty on trade with China.
Trump also said that imposing additional duties against China of 100% would be "unsustainable" for the American economy, but Beijing allegedly forced Washington to take this measure.
At the same time, Trump confirmed that he is preparing for a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, which will take place in two weeks. According to him, after this meeting "everything will be seen."
