Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the IDF to take decisive action against terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip. This was reported on October 19 by the Times of Israel newspaper with reference to the Prime Minister's office.
It is clarified that the relevant instruction was given during a meeting between Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, as well as the heads of the General Security Service (SHABAK) and the intelligence service (Mossad).
Earlier in the day, The Times of Israel reported that Israel had launched airstrikes on Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip in response to an attack on IDF forces there.
