"Roman Vychuzhanin, the deputy mayor of Zheleznogorsk, was detained," he wrote on the Telegram channel.
According to Kulesh, the deputy mayor was detained as part of an ongoing criminal investigation into administration officials who were accused of withdrawing several million rubles from the city budget on contracts to clean up unauthorized landfills around the city.
