L'Oreal has submitted 31 trademark registration applications to Rospatent
In 2025, the cosmetics company L'Oreal filed 31 trademark registration applications in Russia, which is more than twice the number of applications in the previous three years. This was reported by TASS on October 18.
It is specified that in 2022, L'Oreal announced the suspension of direct sales and investments in Russia. However, as of October 17, 2025, the company has successfully registered 11 trademarks, including the CeraVe and Mixa brands. In addition, applications for the names Maybelline, Nyx and Essie, as well as other trademarks related to cosmetic products, are in the process of registration.
Since 2022, L'Oreal has submitted 45 trademark registration applications to Rospatent, of which 17 have been successfully registered.
On October 18, the head of Rospatent, Yuri Zubov, said that foreign companies, along with Russian enterprises, register trademarks in Russia. According to him, all applicants, regardless of their origin, enjoy the same legal opportunities.
