Ivan Shevyrev, her husband, was detained in Kazan after an attack on Irina Shevyreva, the wife of a businessman. This was reported on October 18 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

Also earlier that day, the court ruled to extend the man's detention by 72 hours. At the same time, Ivan's father, Stanislav Shevyrev, was brought to court. According to preliminary data, he is also involved in the assassination attempt.

On October 14, Shevyreva was attacked by an unknown man with a knife in the parking lot near the gymnasium. The woman was hospitalized, doctors assess her condition as serious. Soon after, a criminal case was opened under the article "Attempted murder."
