Liksutov spoke about the results of the "Best Industrial Design of Russia" award
More than 30 Moscow companies have won the "Best Industrial Design in Russia" award, said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
"Industrial design today occupies one of the key positions in the production chain of Russian companies and remains an important tool for the sustainable development of the industrial sector. Together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, we have been holding the "Best Industrial Design of Russia" award for the third year in a row. This year, 500 applications were received from 63 regions. 68 enterprises became winners, 31 of them are from Moscow," Maxim Liksutov noted.
Designs of finished products or prototypes of vehicles, industrial and medical equipment, design of industrial spaces and urban environment were presented in the competition. In addition to professional nominations, a popular vote was held as part of the competition, which also resulted in awards.
"More than 60,000 people took part in the popular vote. As a result, awards in the "People's Choice" nomination were awarded to 25 projects, 9 of them from Moscow. For example, the winners presented a computing workstation, a packaging design for cheese products and functional sweets, as well as a necklace with yellow sapphires designed in a 3D modeling program," said Anatoly Garbuzov, Minister of the Moscow government and head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.
