The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are forced to use anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) over cities due to their shortage. This was announced on October 18 by Anatoly Krivonozhko, Commander of the AFU Air Force.

"Due to the insufficient number of air defense systems, we are sometimes forced to use them over the city," the Ukrainian newspaper quoted him as saying "Страна.иа ".

According to him, these actions are necessary to minimize damage, since there are much fewer consequences from falling debris than from hitting missiles.

On October 15, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced that currently more than half of the alliance's countries are ready to purchase weapons from the United States for the Armed Forces. It was noted that the participants of the Ramstein contact group had raised €3 billion for the purchase of weapons for the Kiev regime.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on September 30 that the country's goal is to receive $1 billion per month as part of an agreement between the United States and NATO on the supply of weapons to Kiev. He clarified that the PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) initiative provides an opportunity for Kiev to purchase weapons, in particular Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems and other American equipment.
