Doctors saved a Russian soldier who lost 2.5 liters of blood

A Russian serviceman with a dangerous wound in which his lung and liver were damaged, as well as with heavy blood loss, was rescued in a hospital in the red zone of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced on October 18 by the traumatologist of the medical service of the Akhmat special forces and the 4th brigade of the 3rd Army of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation with the call sign Nail.

"The lung injury caused massive bleeding in the pleural cavity. The condition is dangerous and life-threatening <...> Massive bleeding: there was about 2.5 liters of blood in the pleural cavity," RIA Novosti quoted the doctor as saying.

It is noted that thanks to the well-coordinated work of the team of anesthesiologists and surgeons in the operating room, it was possible to save the life of the fighter and preserve the affected organs.

The patient is currently hospitalized in intensive care.
