Fraud cases have become more frequent in the Russian Federation, when attackers demand to send them copies of their passport, INN, SNILS, or bank card numbers, allegedly to "conclude a contract" for training or internships. This was announced on October 18 by Anton Nemkin, a member of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications, federal coordinator of the Digital Russia party project.

"The most common schemes include offers of "prepayment" for tuition, paperwork, or participation in an internship. Sometimes victims are asked to send copies of their passports, INN, SNILS, or even bank card numbers, ostensibly to "finalize a contract." In reality, this data is used to steal personal data and money," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
