Retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis noted that the news of the upcoming meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump in Budapest caused mixed emotions among Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

"I think Putin and Trump are ready to sign a deal in Budapest. That's why Zelensky is asking himself, "What the hell is going on here?" It's like a political earthquake under his feet," Davis said on the YouTube channel Deep Dive.

In addition, according to the American military, Zelensky is upset by Trump's actual refusal to supply Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.
