The head of the association of private detectives Matushkin was detained in the case of treason

Andrey Matushkin, President of the International Association of Private Detectives non-profit partnership, was detained in a case of treason. This was reported on October 18 by RBC with reference to law enforcement agencies.

It is noted that Matushkin was engaged in collecting information constituting a state secret and passed it abroad. In addition, he is suspected of collaborating with foreign intelligence, presumably from the Baltic countries.

Matushkin is suspected under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason"). If the charges are confirmed, the head of private detectives faces life imprisonment.

Earlier, on July 18, law enforcement officers detained a resident of Feodosia for transferring data on the locations of military installations and the location of the air defense forces to the special service and military intelligence of Ukraine. It was clarified that the man sent the information via messenger. In this regard, a criminal case was opened under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Treason").
