Hockey club (HC) Washington Capitals defeated HC Minnesota Wild in the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season match. The game ended on October 18 with a score of 5:1.

Captain of HC Washington and Russian striker Alexander Ovechkin scored a goal and made an assist. Thus, this is Ovechkin's fourth point in the new NHL season.

"Also, [forward] Dylan Strome scored a double for the Caps, and [forwards] Alexey Protas and Tom Wilson scored one goal each. The Wild's only goal was scored by [striker] Markus Johansson," Sport-Express reported.
