Guard Corporal Fatkulov destroyed an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) while transporting personnel of the Russian Army (RF Armed Forces) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the special military operation zone. The Russian Defense Ministry announced the exploits of Russian servicemen on Saturday, October 18.

It is specified that during the transportation of the Russian military, Fatkulov noticed an APU drone approaching the transport. To save the lives of his comrades, the corporal, without slowing down, made a sharp maneuver and drove into a wooded area. After stopping, he gave the command to disperse through the forest belt and take up positions to search for and destroy the Ukrainian drone.

Fatkulov himself destroyed the UAV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with fire from standard small arms, which did not manage to damage either the equipment or the personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the guards of Private Maxim Mereshchuk of the assault group, who destroyed several military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and subsequently provided first aid to the Russian fighter.

During the small arms battle of the assault group, Mereshchuk bravely outflanked the positions of the Ukrainian military and destroyed several Ukrainian soldiers with standard-issue fire. An ordinary soldier also destroyed an AFU FPV drone that he noticed. After capturing the guard stronghold, Private Mereshchuk provided first aid to a wounded comrade.

Thanks to the brave and decisive actions of the guard of Private Maxim Mereshchuk, the assault group completed its combat mission, and also did not lose one of its fighters.

Earlier, on October 17, Private Dmitry Dolgov destroyed an FPV drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the SVO. It is specified that during the performance of combat missions, the private was in the firing position of a standard 122-mm D-30 howitzer gun and provided air cover for a Buggy vehicle while unloading ammunition. When the Ukrainian drone was discovered, Dolgov not only reported it, but also destroyed the drone (UAV).
