In Lipetsk, in early November, they plan to open an underground passage on Metallurg Street after major repairs. Roman Chentsov, the mayor of the city, announced this in his Telegram channel.

"The contractor keeps a good pace and takes a responsible approach to business. On November 5, the underpass will open for residents of Lipetsk," the mayor said.

According to GOROD48, the contractor at the facility was the Lipetsk IC company. She received the contract in May, requesting 21.1 million rubles for her work.

During this time, the workers restored the retaining walls, re-cast the concrete base for three staircases, and updated the rainwater drainage networks. The entrances and interior walls are currently being finished, and the flooring has begun to be laid.

The publication also clarifies that the contractor solved the old problem of water running down stairs from the street. The workers raised the first steps 5 cm above the sidewalk level, granite trim will also add height. The water coming from the open drains will be diverted to the city storm drain through two drainage wells.

Earlier it was reported that on the evening of October 15, Lipetsk opened traffic on the Studenovsky Bridge, the repair of which began in the summer of 2024. The 36-meter-long three-span structure was practically rebuilt.
