The UK has opened a case on the incident at the Sterlitamak plant.

A criminal case has been opened after the explosion at the Avangard industrial enterprise in Sterlitamak. This was reported on October 17 in the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Bashkortostan.

"A criminal case has been opened into an incident at one of the industrial enterprises in the city of Sterlitamak on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 217 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of industrial safety requirements for hazardous production facilities that negligently caused serious harm to human health")," the agency's Telegram channel says.
