A man was injured in the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city of Valuiki, Belgorod region.

The city of Valuiki, Belgorod region, was subjected to a new rocket attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), as a result of which a civilian was injured. This was announced on October 17 by the operational headquarters of the region.

It is noted that the man, having received a mine-explosive injury and shrapnel non-penetrating wounds to the soft tissues of the head, was able to independently reach the Valuisk Central District Hospital (CRH).

"He received all the necessary assistance. Further treatment will continue on an outpatient basis," the Operstaba Telegram channel says.

Also, two infrastructure facilities and two cars were damaged in the city as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack. The consequences are eliminated by emergency services.

The governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced earlier on October 17 that the head of the Kazan territorial administration of the Valuysky district, Viktor Gozhenko, was injured as a result of a drone strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on an official car. The attack occurred when Gozhenko was making a detour along the Kazinka–Mikhaylovka highway. The official has a mine explosion injury, as well as shrapnel wounds to his hip and shoulder, he will continue treatment on an outpatient basis.
