Sex education lessons at school are a fatal intervention in a child's psyche. They can cause irreparable harm and negatively affect reproductive health in adulthood. Irina Medvedeva, a child psychologist, writer, and publicist, told about this in the new issue of the Izvestia podcast. In her opinion, early sexual education is especially dangerous for boys.

"Boys are very subtle in this regard, thinner than girls. Girls have such a strong maternal instinct that it is very difficult to completely remove it even with sex education at school. And boys are very shy and squeamish. When boys fall in love for the first time at the age of fifteen or sixteen, they should see an unearthly being in a girl, just an angel in the flesh," says the specialist.

If a boy is told intimate details from childhood, he experiences rejection, which is difficult to overcome, even when he grows up, says the psychologist.

"He doesn't have romantic, youthful love. And his whole male destiny can go downhill," Medvedeva said.

She recalled that the Austrian psychiatrist and philosopher Viktor Frankl was the first to speak about the fact that sexual education of children can cause irreparable harm to the child's psyche.

"In Europe, these lessons began to be implemented a long time ago, and he wrote that many men come to him with complaints of impotence, which is purely psychological in nature. These are the fruits of sexual education," said the podcast guest.

She advised the child to answer the question "where do children come from" in as general terms as possible, without focusing on it, without telling any details, because the child is not interested in them.
