The number of accidents involving taxi cars has decreased in Moscow
In Moscow, the number of road accidents involving taxi cars decreased by 5.6% over the year. A total of 1,244 such accidents occurred from January to September. This was announced by the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate in its Telegram channel on October 17.
Over the past nine months, 26 people have been killed and 1,459 injured in taxi accidents in the capital. These figures decreased year-on-year by 29.7% and 4.6%, respectively.
The State Traffic Inspectorate said that the agency will continue to monitor drivers who engage in taxi activities.
So, according to the results of the raid on taxi drivers, which took place in Moscow on September 17-18, traffic police stopped 5874 administrative offenses. There were also 1,250 offenses committed by carsharing drivers.
Earlier, on October 15, it was reported that the Public Council for Taxi Development (OCRT), on behalf of carriers, proposed postponing the entry into force in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) of the requirements for the use of localized cars in taxis until March 1, 2030.
Prior to that, on October 10, it became known that the Public Council for the Development of Taxis (OCRT) appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a proposal to postpone the entry into force of the requirements for the localization of taxi cars for the self-employed until March 1, 2031.
