Police have reopened an investigation into the death of Spanish billionaire Isak Andik, founder of the Mango clothing store chain, and the businessman's murder is linked to the only witness, his son Jonathan. This was reported by Cadena SER on October 17, citing a law enforcement source.

"After the initial closure of the case, the Spanish police <...> continued the investigation and resumed it due to contradictions in the testimony of the son. Now, after analyzing the findings of the police, the magistrate, who keeps the case a secret, has declared the deceased's son a suspect," the publication says.

It is alleged that tensions between father and son increased, in particular, a few days before Andik's death — at an event where the businessman ceded control of the company to the CEO, and not to his son.

The founder of the Mango store chain, Isak Andik, died in the mountains in the province of Barcelona in December 2024. He was 71 years old. According to the newspaper El País, the tragedy occurred during an excursion at an altitude of 150 m near the caves of Salnitre.
