Rosstandart has agreed on another recall program to eliminate documentary violations against Sinotrak Rus, which represents Sitrak and Howo truck brands in Russia. This was announced on October 17 by the press service of the department.

The program includes the elimination of documentary violations identified during the inspection of Howo and Sitrak trucks of the ZZHS 8x4 type. You will not need to provide vehicles in service to authorized dealerships. A similar recall program was reported on September 22.

Earlier, Rosstandart, based on the results of unscheduled on-site inspections, revealed various violations, as a result of which the validity of conformity assessment documents issued in respect of trucks was suspended.

The Agency clarified that it continues the process of coordinating action programs for manufacturers of cargo vehicles, which previously had suspended permits.

On July 30, it became known that a number of Chinese truck models of Dongfeng, Foton, FAW and Sitrak brands were banned in Russia. The reason for the ban was violations of mandatory requirements identified by Rosstandart, which "pose a significant danger to the health and life of both drivers of vehicles and other road users, including pedestrians."

Such violations included non-compliance with mandatory requirements regarding the effectiveness of the braking system, the noise level of a moving truck, the identification of controls and the installation of an emergency call device.
