Rapper Andrey Kosolapov, known under the pseudonym Macan, announced on October 17 that he would go on military service in the army on November 28.

"I've never been in hiding — I'm going to join the army on November 28," the rapper said in a video message posted on his Telegram channel.

He also clarified that "he did not go abroad, as previously reported in the media."

A correspondent for Izvestia reported on October 15 that Macan did not come to the military commissariat assembly point on Ugreshskaya Street in Moscow. Before that, on October 6, the rapper announced that he would serve.
