- The deadline for reporting to the military enlistment office by electronic summons will be limited to 30 days
The date of appearance at the military enlistment office by electronic summons cannot exceed 30 days from the date of its placement in the register. This follows from the amendments to the second reading of the draft law on year-round conscription published on October 16 on the State Duma website.
The bill was passed in the first reading in September. Amendments are proposed to Article 7.1 of the law "On Military Duty and Military Service" (temporary measures aimed at ensuring attendance on the agenda of the military commissariat).
"The date of appearance on the military commissariat's agenda posted in the register of summonses may not exceed 30 days from the date of posting such an agenda in the register of summonses," the document says.
The Committee proposed to the House of Parliament to consider this bill in the second reading on October 21.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on the autumn draft - 2025, which starts on October 1. It is expected that it will become the largest recruitment campaign in the last nine years: this year it is planned to send 135 thousand people to serve, before that more were recruited only in 2016 — 152 thousand people.
