The phone exploded in the hands of a student at a school in Vladivostok

In one of the schools in Vladivostok, a mobile phone exploded in the hands of a student. It happened at recess. There were no casualties. Students and staff were evacuated from the school building.

According to the PrimaMedia news agency, it happened at school No. 23 in the area of Irtyshskaya Street. At first, the device smoked, and then exploded.

Rescuers quickly arrived at the school building, but the phone fire was extinguished before their arrival. Also, before the arrival of firefighters, it was possible to evacuate students and staff of the educational institution, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Primorsky Territory told the agency.

It is noted that this is the second such case in Vladivostok schools in the last two weeks. At the end of September, a smartphone in a school backpack flashed in the locker room of school No. 69. This caused a fire.

Earlier, gadget expert Ilya Korneychuk warned that an overheated phone could ignite during charging. He urged first to wait until the phone reaches a normal temperature, and only then to put the gadget on charge. The expert explained that gross violations of the rules of operation of gadgets can lead to a fire. In addition, if the phone is very hot, for example, lying in the heat on the front panel in the car, you should not charge it in this state.
