A fire broke out in a school building in the Lena district of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). This was announced on October 17 by the Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the region on the official website.

"The fire and rescue service received a message about a fire in the secondary school building...> 10 minutes later, the forces of the village's volunteer fire brigade arrived at the place of the call," the publication says.

It is noted that the fire area was 768 sq. m.

There were no casualties as a result of the fire. 10 people and two units of special equipment took part in extinguishing the fire.

The causes of the fire are being clarified.

Earlier, on October 14, the press service of the headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Novosibirsk region learned about the fire of a metal hangar and a wooden structure attached to it. It was clarified that the area of the fire, which was attended by 43 people and 14 pieces of equipment, amounted to 1.1 thousand square meters. m.
