Siluanov reported on the transition of the Russian economy to sustainable growth
Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said on October 17 that the Russian economy is focused on creating new jobs and increasing citizens' incomes, which indicates a transition to sustainable economic growth in the Russian Federation. This follows from Siluanov's written statement at the 52nd Plenary Session of the International Monetary and Financial Committee in materials on the IMF website.
"The structural transformation of the economy is accompanied by the creation of jobs and an increase in citizens' incomes. Over the past two years, the unemployment rate has dropped to a historic low (2.1% in August 2025)," Siluanov said.
It is emphasized that the growth of real disposable incomes of the population for the first half of the year is estimated at 7.8%.
The Minister called for attention to be paid to increasing resilience to external challenges in an unfavorable external environment. In his opinion, a balanced budget policy can become the basis for sustainable economic growth and real incomes.
