Paul Daniel "Ace" Fraley, co-founder and lead guitarist of the legendary rock band Kiss, has died at the age of 74. The death occurred as a result of injuries sustained in a fall last month. This was reported by Variety newspaper on October 16.

"We are completely devastated and heartbroken. Ace's memory will live forever," the musician's family said.

Fraley was known as the "Space Ace" and left a noticeable mark in the history of rock music thanks to his solo work and performances with Kiss, which were distinguished by theatrical makeup, costumes and vivid stage effects. He joined the band in 1972 and participated in the creation of albums such as Kiss, Hotter Than Hell, Dressed to Kill and Destroyer.

Fraley also recorded a solo album with the hit "New York Groove". He left the band in 1982 for a solo career, but returned for a reunion tour in 1996.

"We cherish his best memories, the laughter and strength he gave to others," the Fraley family added.

Ace Fraley grew up in a musical family in the Bronx and began playing guitar as a teenager, inspired by Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and The Who. Despite the difficulties and periodic problems with alcohol and drugs, he remained a significant figure in the rock world until the end of his life.
