Private Dmitry Dolgov destroyed an FPV drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the zone of a special military operation (SVO). The Russian Defense Ministry announced the exploits of Russian servicemen on Friday, October 17.

It is specified that during the performance of combat missions, the private was in the firing position of a standard 122-mm D-30 howitzer gun and provided air cover for a Buggy vehicle while unloading ammunition. When the Ukrainian drone was discovered, Dolgov not only reported it, but also destroyed the drone (UAV).

Thanks to Dolgov's actions, the lives of the battery personnel, the weapons entrusted to them were saved, and the AFU FPV drone was shot down.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the radiotelephonist Private Egor Vasiliev, who destroyed the unexploded ordnance of the Ukrainian military.

It is noted that during the performance of combat missions, the radiotelephonist of the howitzer artillery battalion battery, who organized and maintained continuous communication between the group commander and the howitzer artillery battalion command, as well as searching for and preparing a new firing position for the standard 122-mm D-30 howitzer gun, discovered unexploded ordnance.

In coordination with the commander of the artillery reconnaissance group, he destroyed it with an overhead charge. Then, together with the group, Private Vasiliev quickly and efficiently equipped a new position. Upon completion of the task, he organized a stable communication for the report and maintained it until the artillery crew occupied the position.

Thanks to the professional actions of Private Egor Vasiliev, the artillery reconnaissance group successfully completed the task.
