During his visit to Moscow on October 16, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Larijani met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which they discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation between the states and other topics.

"Larijani met with Russian President Mr. Putin to <...> discuss bilateral issues, as well as economic, regional and international cooperation between Tehran and Moscow," Larijani said on his Telegram channel.

It is noted that the Russian leader also received a message from the Supreme leader of the Islamic Republic, Ali Khamenei.

Earlier, on October 9, during a speech at the Central Asia–Russia summit in Dushanbe, Putin said that Russia feels the Iranian authorities are determined to find acceptable solutions to the situation around the nuclear program.

In addition, on October 2, the Russian Foreign Ministry informed about the entry into force of the Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement between Russia and Iran.
