In the Belgorod region, four civilians were injured in attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on October 16 by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov.
According to him, three people — a driver and two women — were injured when an FPV drone hit a regular bus in the village of Ilek-Koshary, Rakityansky district. The vehicle was also damaged.
Doctors of the Rakityanskaya Central District Hospital (CRH) diagnosed the man with multiple shrapnel wounds to his head and arm. One of the passengers has mine—explosive and closed craniocerebral injuries, as well as shrapnel wounds to her arm. The second woman received multiple shrapnel wounds to her head, arm and back. Doctors assessed their condition as moderate.
"In the village of Gora-Podol in the Grayvoronsky district, a woman was injured by a drone strike on a private household. <...> She was taken to the Grayvoronskaya CRH, where she was diagnosed with a mine explosion injury and barotrauma," Gladkov wrote on the Telegram channel.
On the same day, in the village of Ustinka, Belgorod region, a man died as a result of a drone strike APU by car. Gladkov clarified that at the time of the attack, the man was in the car, he died on the spot. A civilian was also injured in the village of Krasny Oktyabr after a drone strike by the Ukrainian army on a car. The driver suffered a hand injury.
