The Belarusian crossover was ahead of Lada in the St. Petersburg car market
The Belarusian crossover Belgee X50, which became the bestseller of the Moscow car market, lost sales to Haval Jolion in St. Petersburg, but outstripped Lada models. This was reported on October 16 by the analytical agency Autostat.
So, according to the results of the first nine months of 2025, 2,730 Haval Jolion crossovers were sold in St. Petersburg. The Belgee X50, which came in second, scored 2,469 units. They were followed by Lada Granta and Vesta (2,268 and 1,920 units, respectively), and the Changan Uni-S/CS55 Plus crossover (1,845 units) rounded out the top five.
Haval, Lada, Chery, Geely and Changan formed the top five in the ranking of brands by sales volume in St. Petersburg. In just 9 months of this year, 53.1 thousand new passenger cars were sold in St. Petersburg, which is 24% less than in January -September last year.
As reported on October 14, the Belgee X50 crossover, produced at the plant near Minsk based on the Geely model, became the best-selling new car in Moscow in 2025, and the Geely Monjaro, which was the leader in the first half of the year, was the second.
On September 30, Belgee introduced the new S50 sedan to the Russian market. The model is produced at the Belji plant in Belarus based on the well-known Geely Emgrand in the Russian Federation. The car went on sale in four versions priced from 1.85 million to 2.27 million rubles.
