Murmansk region to allocate 20 million rubles for newborn examination
Almost 19.9 million rubles will be allocated for mass examination of newborns in the Murmansk region. The relevant tender is posted on the public procurement website.
The documents say that the babies will be checked for congenital and hereditary diseases. The customer is the Murmansk Regional Clinical Multidisciplinary Center. Applications are accepted until October 24.
According to Bi-port news agency, the tariff for extended neonatal screening, approved by the Russian Ministry of Health, is more than 3.5 thousand rubles in the current 2025 year. Next year, its price will exceed 3.7 thousand rubles.
The justification for the initial price of the contract states that in 2025 405 studies will be conducted in the amount of 1.4 million rubles, and in 2026 — 4940 in the amount of 18.4 million rubles.
Earlier, Izvestia wrote that Russian scientists have found out that disruptions in the work of the gene responsible for relaxing smooth muscles can increase the risk of having a premature baby. The study may be extremely useful in clinical practice, but it is too early to draw definitive conclusions.
