The total amount of the prize pool in the "Russian Lotto" since 2014 has amounted to more than 80 billion rubles. Over the past year, participants have won almost 12 billion rubles, calculated in Stoloto for the lottery's birthday.

The first edition of the "Russian Lotto" was held 31 years ago, on October 16, 1994, on the air of the RTR TV channel. Since 2014, almost 460 million tickets have won in the lottery, which is distributed by Stoloto, four lottery billionaires and more than 3.8 thousand millionaires have appeared.

"Every Sunday for more than three decades, millions of Russians have participated in the Russian Lotto, which has become a true family tradition," said Varvara Basanovich, Stoloto's Chief Operating Officer for Marketing. She recalled that on October 19, a festive edition will be broadcast, in which at least 1 billion rubles will be raffled off.

Russian Russian Lotto has won almost 53 million tickets over the past year, and 495 people have become lottery millionaires, including the winner of the largest prize, the winner of the New Year's drawing of the Russian Lotto. The draw, drawn on January 1, 2025, brought 1 billion 200 rubles to a resident of the Sakhalin Region. In the same draw, an absolute record was set for the total amount of winnings in one draw among Russian state lotteries: 3,652,173,987 rubles were drawn among the participants, and more than 11.9 million tickets were awarded.

Since October 16, 2024, the largest number of winning tickets have been purchased in Moscow and the Moscow Region (more than 9.7 million), St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region (more than 3 million). The Krasnodar Territory closes the top three with almost 3 million winning tickets.

Since 2014, all lotteries in Russia have been state—owned, organized by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Sports. They are conducted under the supervision of the Federal Tax Service of Russia. State lotteries distributed by Stoloto are a significant source of replenishment of the budgets of the Russian Federation in order to finance socially significant facilities and events.
