- The Minister of Energy of Vietnam pointed to a comprehensive partnership with the Russian Federation
Russia and Vietnam have a comprehensive strategic partnership. This was announced to Izvestia on October 16 by Vietnamese Energy Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son at the Russian Energy Week (REN) International Forum.
"Vietnam and Russia have a comprehensive strategic partnership. And one of the most important areas of our cooperation is energy. I think that cooperation began a long time ago, when we received support and assistance from Russia for the development of the energy sector in Vietnam," the minister said.
According to him, Vietnam continues to cooperate with the Russian Federation to ensure sustainable energy supplies and security for the people of the country. Bui Thanh Son also stressed that the Vietnamese delegation also includes businessmen who work with Russian companies on specific cooperation projects in various fields.
Earlier, on September 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that there was a positive trend in the development of economic ties between Russia and Vietnam. Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Tinh, in turn, noted the broad agenda between the states and pointed out the need to discuss, among other things, the agreements that the parties have reached.
