The Ministry of Finance has simplified obtaining compensation for CTP

It is now possible to receive CTP compensation online, using Public Services or the Gosuslugi Avto application, if an accident was registered by an employee of the State Traffic Inspectorate. The Ministry of Finance of Russia announced this on October 16 in its Telegram channel.

Previously, this opportunity was only available to those who fixed damage without calling an inspector, and since 2023 it has been used almost 90 thousand times, the ministry noted.

To receive compensation, after an accident, you should apply to the insurance company for CTP payments on Public Services or in the application. Almost all the data will be "pulled up" automatically. The insurance company will review the application and invite you to inspect the car, after which it will issue a referral for repairs or transfer compensation to the specified card. If more than two cars were involved in an accident, then you need to contact your insurance company personally, and in case of injury, contact the insurance company responsible for the accident, the Ministry of Finance noted.

To date, the Gosuslugi Avto application has been used by almost 15 million people. In it, you can download electronic documents for a car (driver's license, STS and CTP policy), register an accident according to the European protocol, apply to an insurance company, register with the State Traffic Inspectorate and contact the driver of another car.

They will enter into a policy: CTP in some regions may double in price

Nationwide, for emergency drivers, the cost of a citizen's car will increase by 15% in the coming months.

Earlier, on October 9, it was reported that the average CTP payment in August 2025 set a new record and amounted to almost 121.4 thousand rubles. This amount was 6.7% more than at the end of last summer. The average premium in August decreased by 5.2% year-on-year, to 7,237 rubles.
