Minsk pointed out the lie in the information about the Belarusian citizen who disappeared in Myanmar

The Ambassador of Belarus to Vietnam and Myanmar, Vladimir Borovikov, expressed regret that false information about the missing Belarusian citizen in Myanmar was being disseminated on the Internet and in the media. As the diplomat stated on October 16, the diplomatic mission operates only with official data and documents.

"We only have to regret the immoral and irresponsible behavior of individuals in spreading false and unverified information for the sake of momentary hype," Borovikov said.

The day before, BelTA news agency reported that a Belarusian citizen had disappeared in Myanmar. It was established that the applicant had flown to Yangon from Bangkok on 20 September. The Belarusian Embassy in Vietnam organized search activities with the assistance of law enforcement and diplomatic structures of the two countries. The offices of the honorary consulates of Belarus in Yangon and Bangkok are also involved in the operation. According to the Foreign Ministry, communication with the woman was interrupted on October 4, as previously reported by her mother.
