T-Business has launched the first online IP registration service for foreign citizens, the company said.

"The launch of the service has become a logical step in the development of T-Business services for non-residents of the Russian Federation. The segment of foreign entrepreneurs in Russia is steadily growing — about 2,500 non—residents register sole proprietors every month, according to the Federal Tax Service," the press service noted.

Citizens of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, China, Moldova, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan are most often registered as sole proprietors among foreigners. They mainly register businesses in such areas as passenger transportation (40%), retail (25%), construction (20%) and e-commerce (10%).

To start a business in Russia, a foreign citizen needs a passport or ID card, a residence permit or temporary residence permit, and registration at the place of residence.

The process of registering an individual entrepreneur for foreigners in T-Bank is online. After the client specifies his citizenship in the questionnaire, a representative of the bank contacts him, who helps him go through the next steps. The bank sends the documents to the tax service, and after 3-5 business days a letter from the Federal Tax Service arrives with the results of the review of the documents.

"Registration of sole proprietors for non-residents in Russia has always been difficult due to the language barrier and ignorance of all the nuances of the process. We have made this path simple and understandable," said Dmitry Trofimov, Head of the Start Business segment at T—Business. According to him, it is planned to make the interface in other languages in the future. "This is our contribution to making the small business market more open and transparent for all participants," Trofimov stressed.
