AvtoVAZ has applied for registration of the Lada Salut name

The application for registration of the new Lada Salut trademark appeared in the open database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS), Izvestia noted. The applicant is AvtoVAZ.

The Lada Salut trademark is registered according to the 12th class of the International Classification of Goods and services (ICTS), which includes cars, among other things.

It is possible that a promising Lada model will receive the name Salut in the future. So, under the Aura name, patented in 2021, a Vesta-based business sedan began to be produced in 2024. And under the name Xcite, which was designed back in 2015, nine years later, the production of crossovers began in St. Petersburg.

In February, applications for registration of new trademarks Lada Parus, Lada Ariva and Lada Tigris appeared in the FIPS database. And at the end of last year, it was reported that AvtoVAZ had patented two new trademarks, Retiva and Altra.

Earlier, on October 9, AvtoVAZ announced the start of work on preparing the new Lada Azimut crossover for state certification tests. According to their results, the new model will receive Vehicle Type Approval (OTT), which gives the right to sell the car in the Russian Federation.
