US President Donald Trump believes that Ukraine may be preparing for offensive actions. He made the corresponding statement on October 15 at a joint press conference with FBI Director Cash Patel.

Commenting on the upcoming meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky, scheduled for October 17, the American leader noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) want to go on the offensive.

"They want to go on the offensive, I will make a decision on that," Trump said.

On October 13, Trump confirmed his willingness to meet with Zelensky at the White House on Friday, October 17. However, the American leader did not provide any details about the upcoming conversation. Zelensky also received an official invitation to visit Washington.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced the next day that the Kremlin would analyze the meeting between Trump and Zelensky on the transfer of Tomahawk missiles to Kiev.

Prior to that, it became known that the president of Ukraine had requested the American leader to supply Kiev not only with multi-purpose and high-precision Tomahawk missiles, but also with HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, as well as ATACMS ballistic missiles. It was noted that Zelensky did not disclose what response to this initiative Trump gave him.
