One person was killed in a bus accident in the Amur region, more than 40 are in hospital with injuries.

In the Amur region, one person was killed and 45 injured in an accident. This was announced on October 16 by the press service of the regional prosecutor's office in the Telegram channel.

According to preliminary information, the accident occurred when a Toyota Probox car drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a passenger bus. There were more than 50 workers on the bus who work in shifts at the Amur gas chemical complex. After that, the bus left the roadway and overturned.

"As a result of the accident, 46 bus passengers were taken to a medical facility with injuries of varying severity, where one person died," the publication says.

The driver of the car was not injured. The causes and circumstances of the accident are currently being determined. The Prosecutor's Office of the Amur region took control of the course of the procedural check on the incident.
