A scandal has broken out in Poland in connection with a citizen of Ukraine, Vladimir Zhuravlev, who appears in the case of terrorist attacks on the Nord Stream gas pipelines. This was reported by the agency RAR.

The Seimas Commission discussed the draft budget for 2026, including the financing of the Constitutional and Supreme Courts. Before the meeting, deputy Pavel Yablonsky demanded that it be canceled, explaining that at the next meeting of the defense commission it is planned to consider blocking the extradition of Zhuravlev, which is required by Germany.

After a one—minute break, voting took place: 15 deputies supported the proposal to cancel the meeting, 13 opposed, and nine did not vote. Independent MP Tomasz Zimoch was among those who did not vote, saying he had not received a ballot.

"After that, the microphone turned on recorded the obscene words of the chairman of the commission in relation to Deputy Zimokh," the agency noted.

Earlier, on October 13, Polish Defense Minister Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh said that the extradition of Vladimir Zhuravlev, a defendant in the case of the Nord Stream gas pipeline explosion, to Germany was not in line with the country's national interests. He noted that the decision to transfer a Ukrainian citizen to foreign authorities should take into account not only diplomatic obligations, but also Poland's internal security.
