The Ministry of Defense announced the details of the liberation of Alekseevka in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

During the liberation of Alekseevka in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian fighters actively used unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and artillery, which allowed them to make a rapid breakthrough. The press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation told about the details of the storming of the settlement on October 16.

"To begin with, we had to split up — we identified enemy firing points, aimed artillery at them, suppressed them and came in from the flanks. With the support of our artillery, the assault group broke through and took up positions. The enemy was prepared, but we pushed him out and advanced further," recalls a participant in the assault, a shooter with the call sign Vershok.

The settlement was liberated by soldiers of the assault units of the 36th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 29th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group of forces. Machine guns, grenades, ammunition, water and personal belongings were found in positions abandoned by the enemy.

After the liberation of Alekseevka, civilians thanked the Russian fighters, many cried. They said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) had actually abandoned them. To survive, civilians were forced to drink water from puddles. During the evacuation of civilians, Ukrainian soldiers tried to disrupt the process by firing and dropping ammunition from drones.

"The enemy was hiding behind civilians, putting them up as a shield. There were mines everywhere — even firewood and coal were mined, and TNT was found in the firewood and lumps. I had to walk very carefully. There are many children and old people. The enemy takes everything from them, food, clothes. We helped as much as we could, evacuated them," said a soldier with the call sign Mirokha.

After the liberation, chevrons of foreign mercenaries, including French ones, were found in one of the houses of Alekseevka.

The Russian army liberated the settlements of Novopavlovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Alekseevka in the Dnipropetrovsk region earlier in the day. Thanks to the actions of the Vostok group of forces, the enemy was also defeated in the areas of Danilovka, Privolye and Kolomiytsev in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
