On October 16, the Russian Ministry of Defense published video footage from the village of Borovskaya Andreevka, Kharkiv region, liberated by Russian troops of the Zapad group.
According to the ministry, the fighting was conducted with the support of artillery and drone strikes, which targeted positions and command posts of Ukrainian units.
"Due to the accuracy, coherence and promptness of the actions of the Russian military, the defense of the Ukrainian units was breached," the Defense Ministry stressed.
The published footage shows how soldiers of the 4th Tank Division of the 1st Guards Tank Army cleared houses and structures, destroyed military equipment, firing points and command posts. During the sweep, explosive devices were defused, and the national flags of the Russian Federation were deployed at key enemy strongholds.
"Units of the Zapad group of forces continue to advance, knocking out the enemy from populated areas and fortified positions, seizing trophies and capturing soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU)," the ministry added.
On October 13, the Russian Armed Forces liberated the settlements of Borovskaya Andreevka in the Kharkiv region and Moskovskoye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The forces and equipment of the mechanized, airmobile and assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed in the Kharkov direction, the losses of the Ukrainian troops exceeded 230 soldiers. An M113 armored personnel carrier, 30 vehicles, a field artillery piece, seven electronic warfare stations and five ammunition depots were also destroyed. In the direction of the DPR, units of the Center troops destroyed more than 500 Ukrainian servicemen and heavy equipment.
