The Ministry of Emergency Situations proposed to increase fines for fire safety violations to 4 million rubles.

In Russia, administrative fines for legal entities for violations of fire safety rules in forests that led to fires may be doubled. The relevant draft of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was posted on the Federal Portal of Draft Regulatory Legal Acts on October 15.

Thus, it is proposed to amend Article 8.32 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of fire safety rules in forests").

"The second paragraph of part 4 should be worded as follows: entails the imposition of an administrative fine on citizens in the amount of 100,000 to 200,000 rubles; on officials — from 200,000 to 400,000 rubles; on legal entities — from two million to four million rubles," the document suggests.
