Corporal Pogorzhelsky destroyed the AFU firing point with a hand grenade launcher

Corporal Pavel Pogorzhelsky used a hand grenade launcher to destroy a firing point of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the special military operation zone. The Russian Defense Ministry announced the exploits of Russian servicemen on Thursday, October 16.

It is specified that during the reconnaissance of the area in the urban area of one of the settlements of the first line of combat contact, the corporal discovered a camouflaged machine-gun emplacement of Ukrainian servicemen in one of the buildings. After receiving the combat mission to destroy it, Pogorzhelsky, choosing the most advantageous position, fired an accurate shot from a hand grenade launcher.

Thanks to the courage and professionalism of Corporal Pavel Pogorzhelsky, Russian troops were able to occupy new positions.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted Lance Corporal Ivan Moroshchuk, whose information about the location of the AFU stronghold allowed Russian gunners not only to destroy the point, but also to occupy new, most advantageous positions.

It is noted that during night reconnaissance, Moroshchuk discovered a disguised stronghold of the Ukrainian military and transmitted the coordinates of the point, as well as reported on the number of personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, their equipment and other weapons.

As a result of the targeted fire of Russian gunners, the AFU stronghold, along with weapons and infantry, was destroyed.

Earlier, on October 15, Guard Sergeant Ivan Bazhenov destroyed an AFU FPV drone during the defense of automotive equipment. It is clarified that while performing the task of delivering fuel and lubricants and ammunition to Russian servicemen, Bazhenov discovered an approaching FPV drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He immediately reacted by organizing the defense of automotive equipment. Without waiting for the Ukrainian drone to attack, Bazhenov destroyed it with targeted fire from standard small arms.
